Our story
About Us
CWC was founded in 1995 by Mrs. Rupa Sunar to provide dedicated care for children who are orphaned, socially oppressed or abandoned by their parents and/or their society. Many of our children originate from remote areas of Nepal where due to family circumstances they are unable to receive adequate shelter, food and education. CWC is run by those who desire to care for the disadvantaged and helpless children of Nepal. Our main goal is to give them the opportunity to regain their rights to their childhood, ensure a quality education and most importantly, show them love and understanding.

Accountable & Transparent
CWC is registered as an NGO with the government of Nepal: Registration number 1153-056-057. We are also an active member of the Social Welfare Council of Nepal: Affiliation number 10427. CWC relies totally on donations by private individuals and private organizations. We are not affiliated with any political organization, nor do we receive any financial support from the Nepal Government.

The management/board of CWC is focused on enhancing the quality of CWC's facilities. We strive to continually develop efficient fundraising, management and program administration.
- The ongoing provision of professional care through quality education within a safe environment thus maximizing future prospects for each child.
- Providing sponsorships, scholarships and job skills training.
- Promoting self-sufficiency via the establishment of vegetable gardens and a poultry farm so as to reduce food costs and encourage hands-on involvement by the children.
